removing the circle

may be this way you can do it.

at the end of cut operation.

set the grahics clipping area to the area of the circle
and just repaint the clipping area by setting the appropriate color.

get the bounds

strore the actual cllipig region - limits

g.setClip(x,y,width,height);
g.setColor(requiredColor);
g.repaint();
g.setClip(previousClipping region)

if you use graphics2D - then you can also create shapes
and set the clip to the shape
g.setClip(shape)
