corina, u don't need to use key listener on jtextfields if u only want to listen for the [enter] key. action listener would be okay. i don't know about how the performance would differ, but my practise is to use action listener if i want to listen for [enter] key *only*, and keylistener if i want to listen to other keys such as F2 or [delete]. any comments from other people?
