Hebrew character set - characters shown wrong way

Posted by Ido Kalir on July 17, 2000 at 4:54 AM

Hi,
I'm new to JAVA and I tried writing a simple text scrolling application for a web site I'm doing. The problem is that the text is in Hebrew, and on some computers it shows with the correct letters but in reverse (e.g. showing "esrever" instead of "reverse"). On some it shows correctly. I know the character code I need is Cp1255 (Windows Logical Hebrew), but I don't know how to implement it or even if that is the problem. Could anyone please help?
Thanks
Ido Kalir
