JSP vs ASP

saying that JSP doesnot need IIS server , i dont think its much of an advantage with IIS holding about 70% of the webserver market thats excluding intranet. and as far as platform independency is concerned i see no point why JSP should be preferred when both u and ur client are on windows platform.
