Audio files supported in JDK 1.2:

RMF
WAV - |
AIFF - | All sampling rates are supported
AU - |

MID (played with downlodable sound bank)

If you need more formats support, such as MP3, MOV, AVI etc.,
consider using JavaMediaFramework 2.0 (www.javasoft.com)
