How can AWT applet talk to Swing Applet???

Hi,
I really need help with this
COuld somebody please explain to me how I can allow comunication between swing and awt applets?

Currently I have a text editor written in swing extending JApplet. When I view it in the browser I would like to be able to use javascript to access the applet's content and pass into the browser page.

However I cannot access it since JAvascript only allows me to interact with AWT Applets only.

Therefore I have decided that I would try transferring my current JApplet's document information to a normal AWT applet so then I can use the normal AWT applet to access the content of JApplet.

I'm really in the deeps I would really appreciate it if you could help me in anyway.
