OK...I got your program to compile and run. One thing I noticed right off the bat was that your constructor for Itemobject is infinitely recursive. (That's not good).

As a courtesy, please try and come up with some particular questions, e.g. "Why doesn't the program close when I choose File > Exit?" , "Why do I get an exception here?", ...
