You've got a couple of alternatives. I've never tried either of these. Use one of the web-based fax services on the web. Generally, you send an e-mail message and they fax it for you. There is most probably a per-fax charge for using these services. Second alternative: if you've got a server with a fax modem, you can install a client-server fax program called HylaFAX. The server runs on *nix, don't know about others. There is a Java-based client here. HylaFAX is a free commercial/non-commercial license; the Java client is GLPL.
