Calling Unix commands from java

Sorry this isn't a reply Ron, but I thought you might have a reply to
your question.

My Challenge is that I have to make a applet that lists files in
a directory. Then when one is selected I have to delete it from
the directory.

I am on a Solaris box.

Can you point me in the right direction
