A little bit about Visual Age

Posted by Jody Brown on October 19, 2000 at 9:07 AM

Our company uses Visual Age 3.02 Enterprise edition for our Java
development, which includes builder tools for swing,
database apps, visual servlets, ejb's, JavaServer pages etc. It
also has an Application Server test environment to run
everything. The downside to all of this functionality is the
3000 dollar license! IBM do have a free personal version. It
doesnt include a lot of the enterprise tools, but its a start.

As far as the rest of the tools are concerned, I have little or
no experience of them so I am unable to make any comparisons.

I hope this goes some way to making things clearer for you.

Regards,

Jody
