Problem with a JEditorPane after adding a ScrollPane

I am working on a program which I have defined an html EditorPane to display locally stored htm documents. I am using a menu bar for selection of the document to display but have found out that a drop down menu will not hold all the documents possible in this application. I changed the drop down menu to a scroll pane (Borderlayout West) but now when I run the program and the scroll panel is displayed with the pane, the browser funtion will no longer work. It will not display the htm document as it did using a drop down menu.

Does anyone have any ideas what I am doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
