don't mix awt with swing

Posted by Chin Loong on September 25, 2001 at 2:19 PM

hey, i read somewhere before that it's not advisable to mix awt and swing.

if i'm not mistaken, double buffering is a feature of component.. and most subclasses of it should have the feature. not quite sure..

overriding it.. (isDoubleBuffered()) maybe coz it's a method that'll be called by an internal method when u try to access the double buffer. (or watever it's called! :p) if it returns false, then it will think that it's not enabled... or something like that.. anybody care to explain? pls?
