Jython Approaches 2.5
by Bruce Eckel
June 24, 2008
The Jython team has been working furiously on this; we may see a 2.5 alpha available for experimentation in mid-July.

See Jim Baker's blog for details.

Jim tells me he thinks the possibility of Jython 2.5 working with PyAMF might be pretty good. That would be an interesting twist, since the JavaAMF project appears to have gone stale -- creating a Java Desktop app with a Flex UI using AMF, but going through Jython instead of directly through Java.
