There is a third way. In fact, articles in Bill's example
could be fit into a single RDBMS table (they are "flat"
structures). I don't have to mention what advantages of this imaginary SQL solution -- simplicity, first of all.

Somehow, instead of concentrating on simple annoying problem (why JDBC can't be established over HTTP?) public attention has been shifted to buzzword technologies like XML...
