Message:

Attaching a UI as an attribute

Posted by Stephan Roorda on August 10, 2000 at 7:21 AM

Are there any restrictions when attaching a UI as an attribute to a Jini service?

Currently I have a JFrame which implements an interface that implements Entry. When this object is added as an attribute to the service my clients can no longer "match" the service. As soon as I remove this line of code that adds the attribute, all works fine again. Any suggestions or hints are appreciated.

Incidentally I have not yet attempted to use the ServiceUI design to do this. That is the next step in the evolution of my service.
