Jini vs. CORBA

Jini and CORBA are different architectures. But I think most important is that CORBA defines a specific protocol GIOP and relay on it. Jini doesn't relay on specific protocol. The developer is free to use any communication protocol. This means that you can base Jini on the top of CORBA, RMI or what ever.

Mean while the reference implemantation of Jini from Sun is base on RMI.
